Using something like "Glyph of Vampiric Blood" is a 5 second increase in healing, whereas Deathstrike and icy touch assist CONSTANTLY with agro to ensure your pulls don't stray.
Glyph of Disease allows you to refresh your DoTs with 1 blood rune instead of having to use 1 unholy and 1 frost rune, if you dont have this glyph your rotation will suffer greatly.
You also want to be using Frost Presence for tanking
